Our Inclusive Approach

We believe that all children can achieve when provided with the right support, encouragement and opportunities.

We work closely with pupils, parents, staff and external professionals to identify needs early and provide personalised support that enables every child to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

At Woodseaves, SEND is everyone's responsibility. Our staff know children exceptionally well and work together to ensure that barriers to learning are identified and addressed quickly.

We work closely with families throughout a child's educational journey, ensuring that parents are involved in discussions, decision making and reviewing support. We are always happy to listen, offer advice and work together to find the best outcomes for every child.

Transition Support

We recognise that changes can sometimes be challenging for children with additional needs.

We work carefully with families, previous settings and receiving schools to ensure that transitions are planned and supported.

 

This includes:

• Additional visits where appropriate.

• Transition meetings.

• Sharing information with staff and families.

• Personalised transition arrangements.
